Islamistangrepp i Paris idag igen

 

Ja, att skilja en människas huvud från kroppen ser ut att vara islamisternas ultimata straff.

I eftermiddags hände det igen. Den mördade läraren hade undervisat om tryckfrihetens betydelse och visat Muhammedkarikatyrer för eleverna. Det finns olika uppgifter om mördaren. Först sades han vara en arabisk förälder, nu sägs det vara en 18-årig tjetjen.

Police on Friday arrived at the scene after receiving a call about a suspicious individual loitering near the school, a police source said.   

There they found the dead man and nearby sighted the suspect armed with a knife-like weapon, who threatened them as they tried to arrest him.

They opened fire and injured him severely, the source said. The man later died of his injuries, a judicial source said.

Before being shot, the teenager had posted a grisly video of the severed head on social media before being shot dead by police, AP reported.

The education minister, Jean-Michel Blanquer, who was also expected at the scene, tweeted: “This evening, it was the republic that was attacked with this despicable killing of one of its servants, a professor. My thoughts this evening are with his family. Our unity and our firmness are the only responses faced with the monstrosity of Islamic terrorism. We will deal with it.”

An angry parent had posted a video on YouTube complaining about the teacher. On Friday night another parent posted below the video, defending the teacher: “I am a parent of a student at this college. The teacher just showed caricatures from Charlie Hebdo as part of a history lesson on freedom of expression. He asked the Muslim students to leave the classroom if they wished, out of respect … He was a great teacher, he tried to encourage the critical spirit of his students, always with respect and intelligence. This evening, I am sad, for my daughter but also for teachers in France. Can we continue to teach without being afraid of being killed.”
