Sista chansen att höra Carlos do Carmo sjunga aldrig tidigare inspelade fados. Han gjorde alla dessa sånger innan han dog, men den släpps nu postumt, den lades på Youtube så sent som under fredagen. Carlos do Carmo har lämnat oss, här är han en gammal man, men den gudomliga rösten har han kvar. Sången är skriven av Jorge Palma och släpps på dubbel cd:n E Ainda (Och fortfarande) just idag.

Carlos De Carmo passed away in early 2021. Portugal and the world mourned the passing of one of the greatest paragons in the history of fado. Carlos do Carmo left us a tremendous legacy.  And maybe the most precious gift he has left us is a record of previously unreleased songs. An album which Carlos do Carmo carefully conceived of himself . Even though its release will be posthumous, “E Ainda…” was fully created and finished within his lifetime. “E Ainda…” is Carlos do Carmo’s last record, with all the historic and symbolic weight that this implies.  “E Ainda…” is released in its standard 2 CD version (which includes the studio album and the concert at the Lisbon Coliseu, in 2019) The concert at Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, in 2019, was Carlos do Carmo’s last live performance. Celebrating his 80th birthday, the fadista regaled the audience with stories and memories, while revisiting songs from a wonderful career
